SSL Certificate Checker (Browser-Limited)
This page explains and tests HTTPS reachability from your browser. Many online checkers claim to show certificate expiry, issuer, and chain details, but a plain browser page cannot read another site's certificate directly. This tool does not invent those details.
How to use
- Enter the full https:// address.
- Press Check HTTPS reachability.
- Read the honest outcome: reachable, failed, or blocked.
- For expiry and issuer, open the site and click the browser padlock.
Frequently asked questions
Why does this checker not show an expiry date?
A web page cannot read another site's certificate details. Showing an expiry date here would require inventing it or running a server check, which this browser-only tool does not do.
Does a successful check mean the certificate is valid?
It means your browser completed a secure connection without blocking it, but full validity, expiry, and chain details must be checked in the browser padlock or a server-side tool.
What should I do if I see a browser warning?
Do not enter passwords or payment details. Contact the site owner or hosting provider and ask them to fix the certificate.
Can I check my own site's certificate here?
You can check reachability here, but for expiry and renewal dates use your hosting panel, certificate provider, or the browser padlock on your own site.
